Ride it out........

There are so many things that make life a little sweeter....coffee, new socks, scented candles, a great bra....and shoes that you can't wait to put on in the morning. I've found one of these majestic pair of shoes at www.musthaveshoes.com. Pull back the reign's on family and friends gifts for Christmas and use your remaining bucks to buy a great pair of boots like these. Besides, Christmas is the holy grail of acceptable splurging....and just so you know it's okay to have a gift under the tree that from you and for you!

Start your New Year resolution early....

Might be old news to you....but just bringing the reality to your attention....better get in shape for Spring 2010. We all saw the lingerie style debut for spring, but to be IN we are going to have to take this style to the streets....no you don't have to JUST throw a pantie party....your going to have to throw on your new corset and head off to work.
Looking at the new styles for spring, it's absolutely romantic, and I think the look can easily transition from bedroom to office if pulled off in the right way. Paring these lace pieces with blazers and cardigans will take it from inappropriate to appropriate. Open your pantie drawer and you might just find your most fashionable outfit for Spring 2010.

It's hard sometimes to invest in several on-point pieces each season. So my recommendation is choose a couple of in-the-moment pieces in a practical color (black, of course!) and pair them with your current wardrobe. This creates a look that is up-to-date and still leaves some $ in your bank account. Try a couple of these pieces to get started!

Handbag introductions.....KREBSBACH FEATURED ON www.lalanyc.com

On the first unofficial day of fashion week, I had the great pleasure of meeting with a vastly creative and skilled young woman named Brianna Krebsbach. This super-sweet, luxury handbag designer hails from Minnesota but is currently based in Greenville, South Carolina. Her passion lies in making women feel wonderful with her beautifully crafted fine leather handbags. Her label Kresbach, has only been around for two years and has already garnered the attention of publications like Zink, Elle, O, InStyle and Lucky to name a few. When you touch a Krebsbach bag, with immediance you notice all the thought, time, care and design that goes into each detail. And how can you resist the gold chain strap, which by the way is made so that anyway you turn it, it will be most comfortable on your shoulder. I'm kind of in love with the Margaret clutch with the ruffles, how darling is it! I'm really looking forward to seeing truly amazing things happen to this handbag design phenom. And hopefully you will to, log on to www.bkrebsbach.com to find out more about Krebsbach.

When was the label established?
In 2007 my line debuted, it was a very creative time in my life because I had just finished college and I was very motivated to start my career. For me when life is changing I feel that's when I create some of my best work, I thought it would be appropriate to capitalize on that.

What was your initial interest in handbag design?
My handbag is the one thing that I can't live without, so naturally that really sparked my passion.

Who is the woman that wears a Kresbach design?
She's in her mid-twenties. She is at a point in her life where she does not have to be price conscious but she is very quality conscious. She really enjoys fashion, she uses her wardrobe to speak her mood, one day she is dressed in a black dress carrying a 'Barbara' clutch and then next day she is in jeans and a tee carrying the 'Katherine' bag. She is fun, intriguing and confident.

Each Kresbach bag is named after a family member, how do you feel your family has influenced your life in design?
I have a very close knit family, I grew up with my cousins being like siblings because we all spent so much time together. So naturally, when I started this company I had a lot of support from them, and they all became part of a sort of inspiration to me. Their personality and the way I know them tends to be a beginning point for where the design starts.

Do you feel any disconnect being that you aren't located in a fashion saturated city?
To be honest, I do. It makes it difficult to connect with people who are in the industry and understand the industry. My biggest challenge is sometimes, because of my location, I don't get the vital feedback I need to keep going or re-adjust some of my designs, I hope soon this can be remedied by re-locating.

If you could play host for a luxe dinner party and could invite three people dead or alive, who would they be?
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Coco Chanel and Michelle Obama.

As the label grows, what is one thing that you hope for?
I hope to impact a small part of fashion.

Introductions.

HI ALL--

I feel as though a conversational paragraph would be a bit awkward. So I have formed top 10 things about me.

1) I told my parents when I was 6 that I wanted to be a handbag designer, my dream has never changed.
3) I love fashion, I forced my mom to buy vogue in elementary.
4) I am from a small town in Minnesota.
a) My mom does say the word "hoot" as in "that's such a hoot." Just saying.
5) I have two older brothers......and my parents wonder why my survival instincts are so good.....
6) I played hockey......and let me tell you I was the only one on the ice with mascara and pink tape on her stick....classic.
7) I love to travel.
8) I am married to a professional hockey referee, I never claim he is mine at any of his games, people always hate the refs....I have even threw out a few boos here and there....what can I say, I like to relate to the fans.
9) I have always sacrificed, and will always sacrifice to reach my goals.
10) I am a connoisseur of wine.....two glasses in particular.
